Achieve Your Health Goals with Confidence

Join our PCOS management community and transform your life with expert guidance and proven strategies.

At S2, we deeply understand the complexities of living with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). For many women, receiving a PCOS diagnosis can feel overwhelming and isolating, often following years of frustrating symptoms and misunderstood health concerns. Our mission is to provide comprehensive, personalized support throughout your PCOS journey.

PCOS affects different women differently, stemming from various root causes including hormonal imbalances, insulin resistance, and inflammatory factors. Our holistic approach focuses on identifying these underlying causes to develop effective, individualized treatment strategies that address both the physical and emotional aspects of PCOS management.

While there is no defined cause for PCOS, there are certain other conditions that are common to a PCOS diagnosis.

  1. Hormonal Imbalance

Most women with PCOS experience elevated androgen levels (male hormones, such as testosterone, and/ or DHT) as well as an imbalanced LH/FSH ratio. These disruptions can interfere with ovarian follicle development and potentially lead to cyst formation on the ovaries.

  1. Insulin Resistance

A key factor in PCOS development is hyperinsulinemia (elevated insulin levels). This condition stimulates increased androgen production in the ovaries, creating a cycle that further aggravates hormonal imbalances.

  1. Inflammation

Chronic, low-grade inflammation commonly occurs in women with PCOS, contributing to insulin resistance and increasing cardiovascular disease risk.

  1. Genetic and Environmental Factors

PCOS often has a hereditary component and can be influenced by lifestyle factors including diet, exercise habits, and exposure to endocrine-disrupting chemicals.

Common PCOS Symptoms

- Menstrual Irregularities

- Infertility Challenges

- Hormonal Symptoms

- Energy and Mood

- Metabolic Impact - weight gain (especially around the midsection)

- Sleep Disturbances

- Physical Changes: Excess body hair, Acne, Loss of hair (male pattern baldness), Migraine headaches

Common Misconceptions about PCOS and the Truth

For years there have been many misconceptions regarding PCOS, from how we should train, to how we should eat. We are here to turn this on its 'head'!!

  1. PCOS only affects overweight women

    - In reality, PCOS can affect women of every body type! Weight gain is a common symptom, but not a prerequisite.

  2. Birth control is the only treatment option

    - False, while hormonal birth control can help manage certain symptoms, there are numerous holistic and integrative treatments available as well!

  3. PCOS makes pregnancy impossible

    - With appropriate treatment and management, like the PCOS hormonal Blueprint protocol, many women with PCOS have conceived successfully!

  4. PCOS symptoms are uniform

    - Nothing could be further from the truth, PCOS presents differently in virtually every woman, which can make diagnosis challenging and also necessitates a personalized treatment program.

Building STRONG bodies to support a HEALTHY lifestyle!!

Jon's Bio

My name is Jon Crook. I have been a strength and conditioning coach for over 15 years, working with clients of all shapes and sizes, skill levels, and pre-existing conditions. This diverse experience has given me unique insights into what truly works when it comes to achieving lasting fitness results.

As a competitive powerlifter and strength athlete, I have used my own body as a test facility for nutrition and exercise protocols. While none of the practices that I have tried over the years are completely original (or revolutionary), the combination of different parts and pieces of all of those practices has culminated in this comprehensive program. My approach is grounded in real-world experience and proven results, both with myself and my clients.

Over the years, I have been fortunate enough to learn several fundamental truths about fitness and health:

First, certain principles are universal - calories count, and there's no way around the basic laws of energy balance. What you eat and how much you eat matters tremendously in any fitness journey.

Second, you cannot out-train a bad diet. No amount of exercise can compensate for poor nutritional habits. Success requires a holistic approach that prioritizes both training and nutrition.

Third, hormonal health is the foundation of everything. If your hormones are imbalanced, every other aspect of your fitness journey will be compromised. This is why I emphasize the importance of lifestyle factors that support optimal hormonal function.

Lastly, strength matters - period. While you don't need to be a competitive powerlifter, prioritizing strength training is non-negotiable for optimal health and fitness. Whether your goal is overall health, fat loss, muscle gain, or improved athletic performance, a foundation of strength will enhance your results.
